    On Saturday afternoon, at the Mount Bryan School, an interesting and historic ceremony took place in honour of Sir George Wilkins, the Polar explorer, who was been in the district, and received his early education there. About 200 people were present, including the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Hon. G. F. Jenkins), Sir John Melrose, and members of the Wilkins family, who had come from different parts of the State.
